5 places to get original Neapolitan pizza in Zurich City

Ribelli Pizza

1. Pizzeria & Friggitoria Margheri (Limmatstrasse)

Authenticity is key here. Gianluca Biondo follows the strict guidelines of the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana.

  • Recommendation: Pizza “MARGHERÌ D.O.P.” and the Cuoppo Napoletano misto di fritto as a starter. The frittatina is a must.

  • Address: Limmatstrasse 273, 8005 Zürich

2. Ristorante Più (Schiffbau)

Perfect for a date. The dough rests for at least 48 hours, making it light and easy to digest. Their buffalo mozzarella is consistently fresh and juicy.

  • Recommendation: Pizza Bufala.

  • Address: Hardstrasse 259, 8005 Zürich

3. Napulé (Zollikon)

World Champion Pizzaiolo Raffaele Tromiro uses ingredients imported directly from the Naples region, creating a 100% distinctive taste. If you don’t want to head to Zollikon, visit their takeaway spot near Bellevue.

  • Recommendation: Pizza Salsiccia con Friarelli or the classic Marinara.

  • Address: Alte Landstrasse 94, 8702 Zollikon

4. Derby Pizza (Wiedikon)

A true gem in the heart of Wiedikon. Derby Pizza serves exceptional sourdough pizzas with a perfect balance of crispy and chewy textures. Their dedication to fermentation and high-quality toppings makes every slice stand out.

  • Recommendation: Try the classic Margherita to appreciate the quality of the dough and tomato sauce.

  • Address: Birmensdorferstrasse 108, 8003 Zürich

5. Alba Pizzeria (Wiedikon)

A fantastic addition to the Zurich pizza scene. Alba focuses on high-quality, seasonal ingredients and a beautifully blistered sourdough crust that lives up to the Neapolitan standard. The atmosphere is vibrant and perfect for a casual evening.

  • Recommendation: Their seasonal specials—keep an eye on the chalkboard.

  • Address: Bremgartnerstrasse 70, 8003 Zürich

Bonus: If you are looking for a modern vibe with great DOP products, also check out Pizzeria Ribelli at the 25hours Hotel Zurich West.

Restaurant Le Cedre

le cedre

My personal highlight: Baba ganoush fresh lots of garlic. Simply tasty.

Lebanese food

If you like to surprise your friends with a funny evening and good Lebanese food, go to this Lebanese place called “le cedre”. The Mezze are authentic and as you know, Lebanese food has a lot to offer for vegetarians, too.

My favorite mezze are the baba ganoush and humus. Baba Ganoush are grilled eggplants prepared with many spices, lots of garlic.

Happy birthday at Le Cedre
Celebrating your birthday at Le cedre can be very fun. You will be spoiled from the team with a nice birthday song and get your own birthday cake. There are two restaurants, one is at Bellevue/Helmhaus the other one is close to Wiedikon at Badenerstrasse.
