We waited long! Finally we have you! Summer 2019 welcome to Zurich and the world. I am excited to share with you my favorite spots where to go for food, drinks and entertainment!

Build your burger ship
Cruise on the Zurich lake and enjoy a delicious burger on the legendary ship MS Helvetia! From 16 May to 19 September on the first three Thursdays of the month you can compose the burger of your choice or go for a proposal of the captain! The cruises takes 2.5 hours. The atmosphere on the zurich lake is legendary, enjoy a sunset with your friends, family or love!

“Lunchen & Planschen” at Hotel Giardino by Atlantis
Spoil your soul & body at lunch! The offer includes a homemade iced tea, pool access, bag with bathing shoes and towels! The lunch is a healthy summer menu consisting of 2 appetizers a main and a dessert. The pool waits for the perfect refreshment and swim! The surrounding up here is idyllic and peaceful, a hide way easily to reach from Zurich main station in only 20 min. The “Lunchen & Planschen” Package costs 64 CHF / Person and is available until September, Monday to Friday 11 am to 4 pm.
Here is what I had:
- Parsnip soup with quinoa and parsley
- Smoked tuna with an avocado crem, mango and rocket salad
- Veal meatballs with quinoa, smoked apricot, pak choi and a tandoori sauce
- Rhubarb tarte, long pepper and red fruits

Pick nick at one of my favorite parks!
When it comes to parks in town with plenty of shadow there is a great option. It must not always be the crowded Letten River or China Wiese at the lake, right?
Belvoirpark located close to Rentenanstalt, the perfect spot for those who seek tranquility and a place to read a book in a less crowded ambience.
Josefswiese close to Viadukt is a park for family and pick nick lovers! The park is big and the large trees giving the perfect shade! What I love here is the large water fountain! Kiosk & restaurants are just close by.
Werdinsel Go for a fun day with a plastic boat on the river! The best point to start is Werdinsel, it has a bit of a wild atmosphere out here. For families: enjoy the large paddling area with a waterfall for small children! For your BBQ use the pre installed grill!

Call your friends, prepare your music play list, pack some home made fresh little bites as for example:
- Mediterranean pasta salad with feta, olives, dried tomatoes, pine nuts and capers
- Fennel salad with apple stripes & grapefruits
- Tzatziki
- Cuscus Salad with tomatoes, corn, cucumber, red peppers & mint leafs
- Watermelon & Feta Salad
- Prosciutto Crudo in slices with honey melon
To add a suggestion from my community: Good music, beer, Iced Coffee and Watermelon!
My favorite two spots to swim or relax or dance with good sound
Seebad Enge for a swim and chill on Monday’s! It’s the place to hang out with some chilled music for a sunset session:

Barfussbar on Thursdays ! One of the most popular “Badi” bars among Zurich residents is the Barfussbar, offering a view of the Grossmünster, Fraumünster, and the River Limmat! The Badi is open as of 8 pm on Wednesday (Live Concerts, entrance donation), Thursdays for a live DJ Set (entrance for free) or Sundays for dance (Entrance fee 16 CHF).
Open Air Cnema’s in town you should not miss!
Bloom Openair Kino located in the Landesmuseum close to the main station. It’s on until July 11, 2019. Get the program here.
www.sofaopenairkino.ch Is the must in Wipkingen! Take your seat on a sofa! It starts July 4 to July 6, 2019!
www.filmfluss.ch located a Unterer Letten offering a true special sunset vibe at the river! It’s on from July 10 until July 28, 2019.
https://zuerich.allianzcinema.ch/en/programme If you are into a scenic view overlooking the Zurich lake and good food this is your spot. It’s on from July 18 to August 18, 2019. The tickets are sold out very quickly, therefore, check the program and book your spot now!
Cine Club Nord For all those who love an open air cinema in a green park! It’s located in Oerlikon 4 minutes from the train station and on August 16. and 17, 2019.
Let’s end our summer days with glory with the Theaterspektakel held on the beautiful Landiwiese!
